This vest is identical to the now retired 338 vest so we have included our two cents from that review: The leather is thick but soft and has a nice finish to it. And the styling and fit are right on target for the cruiser rider. Cruiser gear styles have not ever been complicated, and this line isn’t either. The styling varies a bit from one style to the other, but you’ll find the basics here… quality black leather construction, a few creature comforts and of course dual gun pockets!
Take the “View Larger Images” link above to see some good close-ups of the specific features and also those gun pockets. There are actually two gun pockets and each one is lined with a heavy black canvas and also has a couple wide elastic straps to hold the hardware in place. The pockets close with a single snap.
This vest has a super simple style. The front closes with snaps and the snaps are covered with leather on the front to give it a cleaner look. There are a couple breast pockets with a flap and snap closure. The lining is nice and I like the black/red style.
Notice how the back of the vest is one big slab of cowhide without a seam down the middle. You can easily attach your colors, club patches, etc without a problem. It’s a blank canvas!
So if you are a black leather cruiser style kinda guy, and you are looking for a good quality at a reasonable price, I’m recommending this new Z1R gear for you! :: Paul, 05-20-15
