The Tourmaster Overpant Evo is your ultimate companion for long rides, delivering the perfect blend of protection, comfort, and durability. Constructed from a rugged 600D Carbolex polyester shell with reinforced 1000D Ripstop overlays at the seat and knees, these pants are built to endure harsh riding conditions. The heavy-duty 4-way stretch panels in the crotch, inner thighs, knees, and rear yoke provide unrestricted movement, ensuring flexibility and comfort while riding. A waterproof inner lining keeps you dry no matter the weather, while large thigh vents with YKK waterproof zippers release heat efficiently to maintain comfort. The adjustable Armanox CE Level 1 knee armor and removable EVA foam hip pads provide top-notch protection without compromising on comfort. Whether navigating city streets or cruising the open road, the Overpant Evo is designed for flexibility and ease of use. With reflective piping for added visibility, an 8-inch pant-to-jacket zipper attachment, and a full-length side-entry YKK zipper, these pants offer convenience, safety, and style in every ride.

Our Two Cents

New from Tourmaster for 2025, the EVO Overpant is really solid value for the money. Main construction is a 600D polyester shell with 1000D Ripstop overlays at the seat and knees (the main areas where you would want additional protection). There are a lot of features to like here, a short connection zipper for pairing up with Tourmaster jackets, plenty of reflective materials for low light visibility, 4 way stretch panels for comfort and movement, large thigh vents for ventilations (the kind that feature a button to force the vents open, this is a great design choice that ensures maximum ventilation), as well as full length YKK zippers that run all the way up the side of the legs to make getting in and out of the pants much easier (this is a must for an overpant).

Additional features include fit adjusters at the waist and cuff, there are hand warmer pockets on each side, both are zippered, keep in mind that all the zippers are waterproof, there is an included waterproof liner, and lastly the fly features a combination of a main zipper, plus velcro and two buttons to ensure easy in and out but also security and waterproof design.

Included armor is CE LEvel 1 knee armor from Armanox at the knees and EVA foam hip pads at the hip. The Knee armor is adjustable and is upgradable to level 2, I would definitely upgrade the hip armor as I am not highly confident in the protection level of foam pads.

Let’s talk about size, I tried on a size XL, at roughly 6 foot and 220lbs I normally wear a size XL in both Tourmaster pants and jackets and in this case a size XL fits me like a normal Tourmaster pant would. So keep that in mind, it fits me like A NORMAL PAIR OF PANTS, NOT AN OVERPANT, so if you plan to wear these as an overpant I would highly recommend going ONE SIZE UP to give yourself plenty of space, if you plant to wear them as a regular pant, then get the size that you normally wear. The Tourmaster size chart is fairly accurate, but again for sizing as a regular pant, not an overpant.

Overall at this price point it is really difficult to complain, there are plenty of features and solid materials, you are definitely getting good value for your money. I also love the amount of reflective points on each side of the pants, unfortunately many manufacturers have been skimping on reflective lately and I am really happy to see that Tourmaster decided to go in the other direction and added plenty of it. Overall definitely worth checking out if you are in need of an overpant. :: Damir 11/15/25
