The TCX X-Blast boots have been around for a few years now. They're TCX's intro level MX boots. The TCX X-Blast are almost identical to the X-Helium boots with a slightly less rigid sole and plastic buckles. The soles are still extremely stiff, just not as solid as the Michelin soles on the higher-end boots. The buckle system would be the big call out here, all four buckles are plastic and if you don't have them tight they could pop loose on impact (if you push the strap they can pop out of the buckle if not tight). That issue and the breakability of the plastic over time make these a good starter boot maybe, but if you're doing some serious riding you most likely want to step up to the X-Helium or even the Comp Evo 2 boots. By the time you replace the buckles once you've basically paid for a pair of the TCX X-Heliums. A great entry level MX boot with good protection and top notch materials. The TCX X-Blast will get you on the path to victory, they just might need a little TLC to get you there consistently over a long time period. * Microfiber upper * Padded front and ankle areas * PU internal plate to increase grip on the bike frame * Air Tech breathable lining * Microfiber heat guard on inner calf * Shin plate * Steel toe cap * PU heel and ankle guard * PU toe guard * Micro adjustable, ergonomic PU buckles * Rubber sole * CE certified *Note About Shipping:* Items that show an availability of "Same Day" are physically located in our Lubbock TX warehouse and will ship on the same day as ordered if you order by 2 p.m. central on a weekday (or the next working day if ordered after 2 p.m central.)
*Items showing "3-5 Days" will ship as soon as we receive the item from the Dainese US distribution system which can range from one to four weeks.* The Dainese US distributor relies on inventory in their US warehouse as well as inventory overseas. Unfortunately their system is not capable of giving us a more accurate real-time estimate . If you are concerned about the shipping time on any particular item showing "3-5 Day" availability, please reach us using the" Customer Service link":/info_pages/customer_service.html here on our website, otherwise, we'll assume you are OK with the longer time frame for delivery.

We find TCX boots to be very consistent in fit from one model to the next. We checked this boot and it too is consistent with other models. To choose a size, please click here to see the TCX size chart. The general width of TCX is “medium” or D to E. To compare to other brands you may have experience with, I’d say the overall fit is somewhere between a Sidi boot which is generally a bit more narrow and an Alpinestars boot which has a more generous width.
