The S1-XR GP also features a liner crafted for maximum comfort in all conditions and an anti-bacterial coating to keep riders healthy and hygienic. Shell
The shell is made of TRICOMPOSITE fiber, a new composite that offers a lighter yet more protective shell. The composite mixture includes carbon with varying weight/breaking loads, fiberglass, and aramidic fibers, resulting in a lighter, but much more impact-resistant shell as per FIM normative requests. The S1-XR GP is produced in three different shell sizes: S, M, and L.
Protective Polystyrene
The internal polystyrene liner is made in four sizes (S, M, L, and XL) for better ergonomics and variable density. This allows for a gradual and progressive absorption of impact power. While most impact energy is absorbed by the external shell, polystyrene plays a crucial role in absorbing residual power. Different densities of polystyrene optimize the mechanical performance of the shell, ensuring maximum absorption across all areas as per FIM normative.
Visor
The visor is PC injected, anti-scratch, with variable thickness. It is easy to remove with a tool-free system. The release lever is made of a light metal alloy for greater solidity, and the visor features a Racing Lock System for reduced detachment risk during crashes. The S1-XR GP is prepared for racing tear-offs.
Pinlock
The S1-XR GP is equipped with PINLOCK MAX VISION 120, the most effective anti-fog system on the market.
Ventilation
During the hottest Grand Prix events, efficient ventilation is crucial. The S1-XR GP features seven air intake ducts working with an integrated channel system to ensure excellent airflow inside the helmet. Hot air extraction is enhanced by two submerged air extractors and a rear spoiler creating a Venturi effect over the exhaust ports to expel hot air effectively.
Inners
The cheek pads and internal comfort lining are removable, washable, and replaceable. They are made of Hydrocool fabric with specific fibers to:
- Wick away sweat from the head
- Keep the head fresh and dry
- Be lightweight, soft, and breathable
Cheek pads are customizable and easily removable in case of emergency thanks to the quick release system. The S1-XR GP is also prepared for the camel-bag system.
Retention System
The chin is equipped with a DD-rings retention system for easy release.
Spare Parts
Available spare parts include the nose deflector and air chin curtain.
