The Sidi Performer “Mid” boot is a short top version of their line of standard height version street/sport boots. This boot is a non-waterproof street style with functional sport features.

If you took the standard Performer boot, and chopped off the shin coverage, you get this “mid” version. For everyday sport/street riding, many prefer a short top version like this. They’ll be easier to walk in and be cooler on your lower legs. Also, you don’t have to worry if your slim fit jeans will fit over the top. Unless a person sees the tops of the boot, they’d think you had full height sport boots. The foot includes toe sliders, a mid-foot slider, and another over the ankle bone area (on the outside). The inside ankle bone is covered by an armor disc built into the boot’s upper. The heel and toe box areas are both heavily reinforced and there is a hard plastic/rubber pad over the boot where the shifter will hit.
Entry into the boot is with a short side zipper, just like the taller version, only, uh, shorter. A side zip arrangement on sport boots is almost universally accepted as being the best method of closure to ensure the boots stay on your feet in case of a fall. The shank of these boots is reinforced and the sole is a thin, sport rubber compound with a low profile for sportbike shifters.
A short boot like this doesn’t lend itself to being waterproof, so there is not a waterproof liner here. Likewise, a short boot feels cooler and therefore there are no venting features.
