The Worker 2 Overshirt from REV’IT! is a fairly laid back, regular fit, denim worker jacket that looks 100% off the bike ready. I would argue that if you didn’t know the REV’IT! brand, that there would be no reason that you would suspect that it is a protective motorcycle jacket. With that said, that is exactly what it is, protective, the overall construction is a combination of 14oz CORDURA® stretch twill and 15.5oz CORDURA® denim with COOLMAX® & THERMOLITE® elements which are able to achieve a CE Level AA abrasion resistance rating while being very comfortable and allowing for a full range of motion.
Diving deeper in to protection, the Worker 2 features a pocket for the optional SEESOFT CE-level 2 Insert Back Protector and comes with the included SEESMART CE-level 1 Shoulder and Elbow protectors. The Worker 2 also features a fluorescent and reflective label at the back to aid in night time visibility.
Looking at comfort and convenience, the Worker 2 features a polyester ripstop lining, a hidden snap button at the collar, v-flap at the cuff, as well as a short connection zipper and jeans loop hooks connection option. I also really like that REV’IT! wanted to complete the look and style by having the front closure be button based, but knowing that it wouldn’t be super functional at speed, REV’IT! included a main zipper behind the buttons, thus giving you the full functionality and safety of a strong zipper while still giving you that jean jacket look. Also the buttons, though they go all the way down the front of the jacket, only show externally about half way down with the lower half of buttons covered by the fabric, this is a great feature as it keeps the buttons from scratching your fuel tank if you decide to lean forward. From a pocket perspective, the Worker 2 features two stash pockets at the waist, a stash pocket on the chest, a split pocket at the chest and an inner pocket.
Overall I think the Worker 2 from REV’IT! is a really cool overshirt as it offers a really good level of protection while looking super casual. It would look right at home on a cruiser, in an urban setting or on many vintage bikes. I am a fan, I think REV’IT! executed this overshirt well. :: Damir 5/11/24
