Our Two Cents

The Tracer Air 3 Overshirt from REV’IT! Is new for spring 2025 and is an evolution and an overall improvement over their previous Tracer Air 2. The biggest/most noteworthy improvement is that while the Tracer Air 2 was CE A rated, the new Tracer Air 3 is now CE AA rated, mind you while really not feeling all that heavier, bulkier or less comfortable, really a big win here for REV’IT!. Overall materials are a combination of PWR shell mesh and polyester ripstop. The mesh makes up the majority of the overshirt so it does flow a really good amount of air and will keep you cool. And speaking of cool, I think it has a really cool, casual vibe, that will look great on a variety of bikes.

Looking at protection, SEESMART level 1 armor is included at both the elbows and shoulders, both can be upgraded to level two, do note that the elbow armor is NOT adjustable, but it seems to be placed well for the proportions of the jacket, I had no issues with its placement in my usual size. There is also a pocket for an optional level 2 back protector.

Speaking of pockets, there are two chest pockets on the front, they have two different closures, we assume it's just a style thing as they both basically function the same, one is a velcro flap closure and the other is a button flap. On the inside there is only one pocket, it's a side closure pocket with a button closure. It can easily fit a Pro Max sized phone, but keep in mind that the pocket is not waterproof.

Sizing is accurate, meaning that I normally wear a size XL, and when trying one on it fit me as I would expect it to. The Tracer Air 3 is a regular fit, meaning that it isn't super loose, but definitely isn't a tight or tailored fit. We would recommend getting your usual size and you should find a good fit (check the size chart or give us a call if you need additional guidance).

Overall the Tracer Air 3 isn’t a drastic change of the Tracer Air 2 from a design and style standpoint, but the improvement in CE rating is welcomed and it doesn’t feel like any part of the overshirt went backwards. I will also add that I am not personally a huge fan of tan or sand colored motorcycle gear, but have to say that in person, the Tracer Air 3 looks really good in the sand colorway.  If you are looking for this style, it’s definitely worth checking out, quite a few of our staff members like how it looks and fits.
