Meet the Redridge GTX boots. Boots with a rugged vintage fl air yet with GORE-TEX waterproofing to keep you riding even in the rain.

Past meets future:
  • With the Redridge GTX boots, we’re implementing more technical influences to offer something newer in terms of archetypal derivatives. We’ve taken the utilitarian military boot silhouette and materialized it with suede leather, waterproofing, and given it a Vibram® Hype outsole. Thanks to the integration of the EVA dual density rubber midsole combination, the Redridge GTX boots are both lightweight and flexible but still casual enough that riders can easily walk in them whether that’s a stop at a café or to run errands. Whether riding or walking, you still have your protective and comfort features in both scenarios.
Using the old to make things new:
  • The Heritage collection draws inspiration from what has come before, and we try to take that to heart in all aspects. Our longstanding partnership with Vibram® allowed us to create a recycled sole for Redridge GTX boots, taking what has gone before and integrating it in a new way. Furthermore, we also use recycled materials for the OrthoLite® insole.
Outer shell material:
  • Suede leather with WR finish
Visibility:
  • Reflection at heel
Sole:
  • REV’IT! x Vibram® outsole
CERTIFICATION:
  • These boots or shoes are certified according to the EN 13634 Standard, published in 2017 and have achieved level 1 | 1 | 2 | 2 | WR rating.

Our Two Cents

The RedRidge GTX boots from REV’IT! are new for Spring 2025 and are considered an adventure style boot, and with GTX in their name standing for Goretex, they are going to be waterproof. They were designed as a mid height boot that is supposed to have a rugged and vintage flare to them and I think REV’IT! succeeded in that.

Primary construction is going to be suede leather, it also has a water resistant finish, basically all the light brown parts that you see in the brown and black colorway for example are all suede, and then the darker brown parts are polyester ripstop.

At the back there is a pull tab, a bit of reflective material, and then at the ankles there are seesoft ankle disks on the inside to protect your ankles.

Moving to the front there is a TPU gear shift pad, it will be symmetrical on both boots, and the primary closure system is going to be laces. Cool thing about the laces is that they are fairly robust, feature metal eyelets and hooks and underneath the REV’IT! logo they have a nice pull tab that actually unbuttons and can be utilized as a way to keep the tied shoelaces in place.

Last item to touch on is the Vibram soul, it is a hybrid sole made of dampening EVA and 30% recycled rubber, it features fairly deep ridges offering a good amount of grip, a crush resistant shank and a good amount of flexibility to make walking off the bike fairly easy.

Overall I think the RedRidge GTX boots are a solid pair of boots, but they are not on the max end of protection, more somewhere in the middle, so keep that in mind as you think about the level of protection that you are looking for. Additionally these boots are very similar to the Acre boots from REV’IT!, with these more or less being the shorter version of the Acre boots, no they are not exactly the same, but there are quite a few similarities, check out the Acre boot to see the differences. :: Damir 9/21/25
