Our Two Cents

The Parabolica 2 Pants from REV’IT! Are new for Spring 2025 and are the second generation of their Parabolica line along with the Parabolica Hoodie. Now REV’IT! Calls them pants but to me they are much more of a jogger or a sweat pant than they are a pair of pants, and that’s a good thing as they are very comfortable and completely give off the casual vibes. In many ways the second generation pants are very similar to the first, this is definitely an evolution or an update versus a full redesign, here are a few details to call out:

Like the first generation PWR Fleece and Polyester 1X1 Rib are the primary materials, and like before they are still CE AA rated.

As for sizing, the overall fit is considered a tapered fit, meaning that the pant legs get narrower as they approach the ankles. Still even with the taper I wouldn't say that the pants are overly tight. At six foot, roughly 215 pounds I normally wear a size XL in REV’IT! Pants and I tried on a pair of XL pants here and they fit me as I would expect them to. Really they fit like a pair of joggers should, not overly baggy like a loose pair of baggy sweatpants but still not too tight so you have enough comfort and room to go for a run if needed. Not that I plan to run in my motorcycle gear but you get my point.

Looking at a few measurements on a size XL in comparison to the first generation, the waist measures at 17.5 inches or the equivalent of 35 inches all around, keep in mind the waist is quite stretchy, fully stretched it expands to 22 on one side or 44 all around. Overall length is 42 inches, and the Inseam is about 32.5 inches. Now in comparison to the original Parabolica pants in the same size XL the Parabolica 2s are roughly a quarter of an inch bigger in all three dimensions mentioned above. Nothing to write home about but I think it goes to show that REV’IT! Has been paying attention and has made an effort to fit a bit more accurately with this new lineup. Remember the same was the case with the hoodie it fit more comfortably than the first generation, overall the Parabolica 2 pants fit me a bit more comfortably than the first generation. Again nothing crazy, not like a full or half size difference or anything to that extent but just more comfortably.

Now what is a drastic difference is the openings at the bottom of the pant legs. One of my main complaints against the original Parabolica pants, is that the leg openings are fairly tight, and have almost no give or stretch to them. They measure at six inches and can barely stretch to 6.5 inches, on the Parabolica 2 pants on the other hand you have a stretchy elastic band at the bottom, and sure it starts at a smaller 4.5 inches, but can expand all the way to 9 inches, making it quite a bit easier to get your foot in and out of the pant leg. So a really nice improvement here.

Lets jump into some features and design details, there is a reflective REV’IT! Logo on the left side and a nice reflective stripe on the side of the pant legs that curves towards the front, allowing it to be visible from multiple angles. Another difference versus the original version is the lack of foot loops, but the cuffs at the bottom are stretchy elastic so the pant legs still stay down and in place even without the foot loops. A few other items to mention are the inclusion of a short connection zipper, Seesmart CE Level 1 armor at the hips and knees and a grip panel in the seat.

The last thing I want to touch on is that this material is a full stretch material so again its comfortable, it is also fully ventilated, granted its not as ventilated as a full mesh design but still it is ventilated it does breathe, and it is also finished with a DWR water repellent, so its not waterproof, but it does help the water just sort of bead and fall off.

Overall the Parabolica 2 pants are really neat, honestly I am a fan, you get the comfort, look and fit of a nice pair of joggers allowing you to look super casual on and off your bike, all the while still getting CE AA rated protection. Combining these pants with the Parabolica 2 hoodie really allows you to have the full casual and comfortable look and feel without sacrificing protection, something that unfortunately alot of other casual pieces of riding gear do. :: Damir 9/28/25
