We find that gloves from REV’IT! are generally very consistent in fit from one model to the next, and we find they run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands. The fit is very similar to Alpinestars which also fit more snugly than other brands of gloves. The tendency to run small is not so noticeable that we’d advise you to buy one size larger, but if you are sometimes in between sizes, your best shot would be to choose larger. Hopefully, you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

The new Dirt 4 gloves from REV’IT! are an update over the previous Dirt 2 (First reviewed in 2014) and Dirt 3 (First Reviewed in 2019) gloves and are new for 2024. The changes between the Dirt 4 and the Dirt 3 are more evolutionary than revolutionary with the overall look and design of the glove staying the same. That being said, there are changes that are worth noting. The first would be the palm slider that has changed from a rubber type to a hard plastic, also the shape and size have changed slightly. The second, and one that I think adds to the comfort, is the design of the knuckle protector and the addition of the stretch panel right above the knuckle and REV’IT! logo. This panel aids in adding more comfort over the Dirt 3, especially when gripping the handle bars.

Other design changes include the shape and size of the finger protectors, the placement of the REV’IT! logo on the wrist moved from the center of the wrist to the side (the look of the logo has changed as well, in my opinion it is now better looking giving a slightly higher end look). On the inside the wrist closure is now leather with an embossed REV’IT! logo and the overall glove stitching is now on the outside unlike the Dirt 3 where it was on the inside. Additionally, new on the Dirt 4 gloves is the use of Pittards® goat digital™ WR100X that is used on the palm and on the thumb patch.

The Dirt 4 features touch screen compatible finger tips on both the index finger and the thumb, but I did find that the thumb seemed a bit more responsive than the index finger when interacting with my iPhone.

As with previous generations the Dirt 4 gloves are considered a street or summer adventure glove and flow a good amount of air with the mesh located on the finger tips and wrist. The Dirt 4 like the previous generations is a very nice “all purpose” summer riding gloves that could work for a variety of riding styles. :: Damir, 2-24-24
