Developed to offer maximum dexterity, grip, and handlebar feel in wet weather conditions the Continent gloves join our DIRT Series collection. We know adventure never stops and we believe that neither should you. The Continent gloves are engineered with microfiber E-touch material that raises the bar on handlebar feel and feedback when you’re facing rain – not by blocking out the water but working with it. To further assure riding comfort and ward off fatigue, the Continent gloves are built to be as light as possible.

Confident and fully in control
The soft and flexible TPR knuckle protector, the PWR|Shield material along the palm, and a memory foam pad enveloping your thumb will have you feeling secure. Its abrasion-resistant outer fabrics are designed to be both highly flexible and thanks to the high-tech design of the Continent gloves, you’ll remain confident and fully in control.

Features:

  • 2L stretch and neoprene construction
  • PU grip for excellent control
  • Microfiber E-Touch material on the fingers and palm allow for excellent handlebar feel and comfort
  • Soft and flexible TPR knuckle protector
  • PWR|Shield palm material and memory foam pad for comfort and protection
  • CE certified to EN 13594:2015 Level 1 Knuckle Protection

We find REVIT gloves run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands. The fit is very similar to Alpinestars which also fit more snugly than other brands of gloves. The tendency to run small is not so noticeable that we’d advise you to buy one size larger, but if you are sometimes in between sizes, your best shot would be to choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

The Continent WB gloves from REV’IT! are a lightweight, water repellent, wet weather specific, adventure riding glove that comes with a CE Level 1 KP protection rating. These gloves fall in to REV’IT!’s DIRT Series Collection, and to me and based off the series name are more of a off-road kind of glove. Yes they can be used on the street, but to me, a person who takes protection very seriously and above all else, they leave me wanting more protection and feeling almost naked in the wrist/cuff area. I personally prefer a glove that is a bit more substantial and more protection rather than feel and weight oriented. So, if you are like me, this might not be the glove for you. But if you are not, then read on.

The primary focus of the Continent WB gloves was to be soft, flexible, confidence inspiring and as light as possible, they definitely succeeded in that quest. With an outer shell made out of microfiber e-touch, neoprene and PU grip, the Continent WB gloves are super lightweight and provide excellent feel and dexterity. There is protection in terms of memory foam at the palm and thumb, PWR Shield at the palm and a TPR soft knuckle, but it is all just that, soft and comfortable. So even though there are protection minded pieces, they are all still geared towards being light weight and comfortable (ie no hard TPU parts or sliders).

Looking at comfort features, you do get a water repellent and windproof back of hand, as well as a short neoprene cuff that is extremely comfortable. Also included are pull tabs, polyester stretch 2L fabric, a tricot liner, hook and loop closure and an adjustment tab at the cuff with stretch fabric on the back of the hand. The Content WB gloves also features connected finger tips at all of the fingers and thumb allowing for complete touch screen use (in testing it worked well with both Android and iPhone) as well as grip panels at the palm.

Overall the Continent WB gloves do a great job of achieving what they set out to achieve, being light, comfortable, and to provide excellent dexterity and feel, while still offering some protection to the rider. To me though as I mentioned above it just didn’t feel like enough protection for the street, again that is just my opinion, from a person that is extremely safety focused, so they could still be the right glove for your needs. :: Damir 5/9/24
