The Automate Jacket seamlessly integrates a rational design approach with creative vision, resulting in a high-performance garment that excels in both style and functionality for long-distance sportive riding.

The foundation:

  • Created with a mix of materials, the combination of 3D mesh panels, perforated leather, and laser perforations maximizes airflow, providing excellent ventilation for warmer rides. When things cool down, its detachable body warmer helps to keep the chest at a comfortable temperature.

Sport flair:

  • To make the Automate jacket immediately recognizable, we played with various shades of the same hue to create a shadow-type effect; for example, a bright red placed beside a darker red – across the chest. Furthermore, newly developed shoulder parts not only add to comfort but also enhance the jacket’s aerodynamic aesthetic, aligning seamlessly with modern Adventure Sport motorcycles.

Our Two Cents

The Automate Jacket from REV’IT! Is the spiritual successor to REV’IT!’s Matador Jacket, one of my favorite sport jackets of all time and it’s new for Spring 2025. What I liked about the Matador and now the Automate is that I would consider them sport jackets but not race jackets. Race jackets are aggressive, super tailored and usually pretty stiff, but not the case here, the Automate jacket is sporty without being overly aggressive, it features plenty of stretch materials to make mobility easier and it isnt overly tight either. 

Primary materials are cowhide leather, both perforated and regular, artificial leather, 3D air mesh, and PWR shell stretch. Included armor is SEEFLEX CE Level 2 at both the shoulders and elbows, keep in mind the elbow armor is not adjustable, and there are pockets for the optional back protector and divided chest protector. This combination of materials and armor yield a CE AA rating. 

Sizing is EURO based, I typically wear a size 56 in REV’IT! Jackets, at roughly 6 foot and 215lbs, and in the Automate a size 56 fits exactly how i would expect it to. So I would say that it runs true to size and would recommend getting the size that you normally wear in most major European brands. 

The Automate jacket features some of my favorite items from REV’IT!, a soft collar, an easy to use and oversized main zipper pull tab, elastic at the cuff, PWR shell stretch for added mobility, and both a short and long connection zipper. This jacket also features two front, hand warmer style, zippered pockets, as well as two velcro closure pockets on the inside, and a Napoleon pocket in the usual location. 

This really is a great jacket for someone looking for that classic sport look and performance, without being overly aggressive with a full race jacket that can be a bit uncomfortable on the street.
