Extremely functional, military boot-inspired riding shoes that combine a rugged appearance and the high-quality waterproofing of hydratex. So you can travel safely and stylishly in all weather conditions. Meet the Acre H2O shoes.

Archetypal style, modern tech
With the Acre H2O shoes, we inject modern tech and elevate archetypal utilitarian style to a higher level. We took the functional silhouette of military boots and reconstructed it to blend seamlessly your casual style on the city streets.

Get out there
The blend of suede leather, strong polyester, and the tried and tested Vibram® Hype recycled rubber outsole makes for a comfortably casual pair of riding shoes that breath all the appeal of boots. Another strength of the Acre H2O shoes lies in its OrthoLite® insole, which is also comprised of recycled materials. Adding to its ‘get out there’ feel, is the hydratex|Z-liner construction that will assure function keeps up with style.

Lace/zip up and ride
Since conventional military boots don’t boast a zipper on the inner foot, though motorcycle boots usually do, we decided to give riders the best of both worlds. We included a removable zipper panel along the front gusseted tongue for the convenience of not having to lace up each time you ride, but rather zip up. That said, if it’s not your style, then it’s business as usual, so just lace up. And just like military boots, long-day and long-distance comfort is paramount. That’s why we’ve included the SEESOFT ankle disc and rubber-EVA sole for extra freedom of movement.

Lace lock button

To assure your laces stay perfectly in place, the front gusseted tongue has a subtle loop up top with a lace lock snap button behind it. Tie your laces, lock the snap button in place, and you’re on your way.

Lace zipper panel

We’ve incorporated a removable lace zipper panel over the front gusseted tongue. You simply lace it in once with the convenience of not having to lace up each time you ride, but rather just zip up and go. That said, if it’s not your style, then it’s business as usual, so just lace up bottom to top.

hydratex waterproof liner

We understand the importance of staying dry when riding in the rain.

SEESOFT Ankle Disc

These shoes include the SEESOFT impact-absorbing ankle discs.

Beginning with some new boots models in the 2018 lineup, REV’IT! began using a new size conversion chart. The chart is listed below. Generally speaking, the boots run smaller than in past seasons for a given size. Their new chart reflects the smaller sizing. Using the new chart, you’ll be buying a boot that is 1/2 to one size bigger than you might have chosen by using the conversion in past years. We tried on this model and confirmed the smaller fit.

Our fit advice is to use the chart below to choose an EU size based upon your US street shoe size, while keeping in mind you may be choosing one size larger than you may have bought from REVIT in past seasons. If you are between sizes in the chart, choose the larger.

Our Two Cents

The Acre boots from REV’IT! are in an indirect way the tall version of REV’IT!’s RedRidge GTX boots, here is what I had to say about the Ridge GTX:

“The RedRidge GTX boots from REV’IT! are new for Spring 2025 and are considered an adventure style boot, and with GTX in their name standing for Goretex, they are going to be waterproof. They were designed as a mid height boot that is supposed to have a rugged and vintage flare to them and I think REV’IT! succeeded in that.

Primary construction is going to be suede leather, it also has a water resistant finish, basically all the light brown parts that you see in the brown and black colorway for example are all suede, and then the darker brown parts are polyester ripstop.

At the back there is a pull tab, a bit of reflective material, and then at the ankles there are seesoft ankle disks on the inside to protect your ankles.

Moving to the front there is a TPU gear shift pad, it will be symmetrical on both boots, and the primary closure system is going to be laces. Cool thing about the laces is that they are fairly robust, feature metal eyelets and hooks and underneath the REV’IT! logo they have a nice pull tab that actually unbuttons and can be utilized as a way to keep the tied shoelaces in place.

Last item to touch on is the Vibram soul, it is a hybrid sole made of dampening EVA and 30% recycled rubber, it features fairly deep ridges offering a good amount of grip, a crush resistant shank and a good amount of flexibility to make walking off the bike fairly easy.

Overall I think the RedRidge GTX boots are a solid pair of boots, but they are not on the max end of protection, more somewhere in the middle, so keep that in mind as you think about the level of protection that you are looking for.”

Now like i said they are not exactly the same boot but there are some key differences and similarities. This is a very similar boot but it's the tall version and it does feature a few key changes. Again there are two colors, the black color remains but now the second color is army green instead of brown on the Acre, and the waterproof membrane changes from Goretex to REV’ITS own hydratex Z line.

The other major change is going to be the main closure, where the RedRidge boot was just laces, the Acre here has a lace and zipper panel, long story short you tighten the laces exactly how you want them and then going forward you can simply take the boots on and off with the zipper never having to adjust the laces again. Additionally if you are not a fan of this you can technically remove it and just use a normal, laces only setup.

Overall a great looking boot that performs well but again keep in mind that it is somewhere in the middle of the protection range compared to some of the more aggressive and protection minded adventure style boots. :: Damir 9/28/25
