This jacket is cut to be worn UNDER a motorcycle jacket so it is intentionally cut a bit more trim than an ordinary street jacket. We tried on a few in the office and we were able to wear the size we normally wear, so we advise just that… choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. And if you are between sizes, choose the larger.

Our Two Cents

The Maverick Down Jacket is a VERY lightweight down filled “puffy” style jacket that fits trim and is suitable to wear under your motorcycle jacket to give a layer of insulation and to provide a wind barrier. The whole jacket weighs less than one pound and packs into a pouch about the size of a couple of Chipotle burritos. No need to keep up with the storage pouch because the pouch actually is one of the pockets! You just open the pocket zipper and start stuffing the jacket inside and viola!

The nylon material is very “slick” so you’ll be able to slip it over your street clothes and under your jacket without a struggle. Being down insulation, it compacts easily but puffs up to fill the available space, which is ideal for use as a liner. The styling is sharp so you’ll be able to wear the jacket when you are off the bike too. A very nice product for a specific need that won’t be easy to find elsewhere. :: Paul, 01-28-21
