This jacket is over-sized to fit over your protective riding jacket. We suggest you choose the same size you wear in the jacket you plan to wear under this rain jacket.

If you plan on wearing this rain jacket without a protective jacket under it (for non motorcycling sports) then choose one size smaller than you normally wear in men’s clothing.

The pants are not as over-sized as the jacket since riding pants aren’t generally as bulky as the jacket (with shoulder/elbows armor and all). I’d advise you buy the size you normally wear in pants. When in doubt, buy one size larger. Inseam lengths on the regular size pants is about 32” on the smaller end of the scale and 33” on the larger end of the scale. Tall sizes are about 2” longer than the regulars across the board.

The Klim forecast jacket and pants are made like a number of other rain jackets and pants on the market with one major difference—Gore-Tex. The material used in this jacket is a nylon permanently bonded to a Gore-Tex layer to make it waterproof. Gore-Tex is recognized to be the very best at keeping water out while allowing body moisture to escape and therefore keeping you dry and comfortable.

So the use of the Gore-Tex is the big draw here. But like most other higher quality rain jackets and pants, this one is light and pack-able which is appreciated by those that travel on a bike and have limited space. Both the jacket and the pants each have a built in pocket to allow you to stuff the entire garment inside for packing.

The pants are really nice because they have FULL-LENGTH side zippers. This means you’ll definitely be able to get the pants on over your boots and riding pants on the side of the road easily. Big snaps at the ends of the pant legs lets you adjust the cuff to fit your boots.
