Sizing Information

These Klim gloves fit more like American branded gloves than European branded gloves (which run a bit smaller). If you have experience with brands like FirstGear, Tour Master, Joe Rocket etc, I think you’ll find the fit comparable. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Just as an FYI, you may have previous experience with Alpinestars and REV’IT! which generally run about one half size smaller, size-for-size, than Klim. So if a particular size in either of those brands is roomy on you, then you may be able to go down one full size in this style.

Our Two Cents

The Baja S4 Gloves from Klim are brand new for Spring 2025 and are now in their second generation. These gloves are highly breathable and primarily built out of mesh and goatskin leather, ideal for hot weather, adventure riding.

Sizing advice for the Baja S4 gloves is that they are fairly true to size, meaning that I normally wear a size large glove and that a size large Baja S4 fit me as I expected it to. If you get the size that you normally wear your gloves in, you should be able to find a good fit.

Let’s jump into the details, starting at the top, the finger tips are made out of goatskin leather, there is a good amount of perforation to keep things cool. From there the top of the hand is primarily 3D mesh, this is a good size weave so it will flow a ton of air. And to keep you protected there are knuckle protectors both on the fingers as well as in the main knuckle area, this is a TPR protector overlay which also features temper foam underneath for added protection and comfort. At the wrist, there is Karbonite micromesh 500D, it features 4-way stretch and it actually continues up the thumb as well. A nice bit of 3M scotchlite carbon black reflective material is included, really a nice touch, and then some more goat skin leather to round things out with a nice klim logo.

Flipping the hand over there is a nice good sized pull tab that makes putting the gloves on easier, it can also be used to hang the gloves, and speaking of storing the gloves you also get a little clip on each glove that snap the two gloves together to prevent loss. There is a simple but functional goat skin leather strap that closes with velcro allowing adjustment and security, plus there is a panel that allows for extra comfort and size adjustability without leaving a hole in the wrist. This is a nice touch for times like when you are riding in the dirt or sand, that piece will keep some of that out of your gloves vs just a standard hole or opening that many gloves have. To the side we have a nice little pad, it's actually a perforated 5mm XRD wrist pad. From there we have some more protection on the side of the hand, the same material as the knuckle protector with impact protection foam underneath it and just slightly above that we have a leather overlay here on the pinky sidewall which is a nice touch.

Making our way to the palm we again have goatskin leather with some perforation, a reinforced leather palm overlay, as well as a perforated 3mm xrd foam impact protector here in the thumb knuckle. You continue to see that Karbonite micromesh on the thumb like we saw on the top of the hand, and we get perforation throughout the leather on the fingers. And speaking of fingers, on both hands you do get touchscreen compatibility on both the thumbs and index fingers, it works well, and on the left glove you do get a face shield squeegee which is actually quite useful.

More of an evolution rather than a complete design change from the first generation glove, I will say that this second generation Baja S4 does feel a bit slimmer and lighter overall, and movement and dexterity is quite good. For protection, the Baja S4 gloves are CE 1KP rated.

Overall the Baja S4 gloves from Klim are quite good and definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a warm weather adventure glove. :: Damir 7/8/25
