The Adventure GTX Short Gloves by Klim are a very well armored full-leather waterproof style for serious riders.
Just in trying on these gloves, I can immediately tell they are expensive. Klim has done a LOT of work in designing the pattern of this glove to fit great right out of the package. There are dozens of individual pieces of leather that make up the hand so that, when assembled, it fits the hand like a glove (pardon the pun).
I’ve got the Tan color choice on my desk for this review and it looks great. The color combos would look great with many adventure style riding jackets from Klim or REVIT (or brands with similar styles). The printed ceramic material over the knuckles, fingers and in the palm of the hands adds to the survive-ability of the glove in case of a crash but also looks really good.
This is a solid leather construction glove (without venting), and it is also made waterproof with Gore Tex’s premium Gore Grip technology. The Gore Tex waterproof liner is fused to the back side of the leather rather than being a separate layer in the glove. That means the glove is less bulky and also has a better feel and “grip” because there isn’t an additional layer to slip and slide between your hand and the controls (hence the “grip” in the name). Being solid leather gloves without insulation, the best temps for use will be moderate.
The cuff style on this glove is made close to the wrist so you’ll be wearing this one under your jacket sleeve. Index finger and the tip of the thumb are conductive so you can use your phone. The left index finger is fitted with a wiper for your shield.
Overall, a very high quality glove that offers excellent protection. It’s pricey of course, but it feels like it should be. :: Paul, 11-27-19
