The Klim Vanguard GTX Short gloves have been updated for 2022 with a new knuckle design.
What really sets the Klim Vanguard GTX Short gloves apart from other options is that there is no thermal liner or venting on the gloves so they are good for warm to cool weather riding in dry or wet conditions. With the Gore-Tex lining and Gore-Grip technology you know you will stay dry and maintain firm grip control even in the wettest conditions.
The palm is goat leather and the index and thumb have reactive materials for touch screen capability that seems to work well on Android and Apple devices here at the shop. The heel of the palm has an XRD impact protector pad covered in a rubber/foam material with a unique hexagon pattern that is duplicated on the knuckle of the gloves over the matching XRD knuckle protector.
The entry is easy thanks to a zipper and hook and loop closure. You can unzip the gloves and put them on easily with the assist pull loop, then zip them and adjust the hook and loop closure for a secure fit. After you set this once all you’ll need to do is zip and unzip for entry/exit.
The index finger on the left glove has a visor wiper and the middle, ring, and pinky fingers all have 3M™ Scotchlite™ carbon black reflective material that is fairly dark but really reflects when the light hits it for maximum visibility.
The Klim Vanguard GTX Short gloves are a great option for touring riders looking for a glove diverse enough for most weather conditions but lightweight and streamlined for max dexterity and ease of use. :: Mike, 05/20/2022
