The Uparmor Cover Jeans from Icon are a pair of riding jeans that are designed to look like normal jeans off the bike. Overall jean construction is a combination of COVEC® T400 stretch denim which is strong and flexible with strategically placed internal reinforcements, to allow the jeans to earn a CE Level A rating. Overall these jeans really to me feel like normal jeans and that does make as they are not AA or AAA jeans, but still they do offer protection above a regular pair of jeans with being CE rated. Impact protection is also provided with removable, CE Level 1, D30® Ghost Knee and Hip Impact Protectors which obviously provide protection, but I will say the overall size of both the knee and hip protectors are a bit small for my taste (to be fair I am extremely safety focused so it might not bother others).
Overall not much I can say bad here, the Uparmor Covec jeans from Icon are comfortable, look and feel like regular jeans, comes with both hip and knee armor included and provide you with a CE Level A rating all for $195. Its good value for the money, and if the highest safety spect isnt the priority to you over comfort, then I would definitely recommend checking these jeans out (if you are primarily safety focused there are plenty of much more protective jeans in the plus $50-75 range). Sizing wise these jeans are vanity sized (Plus 2) the size 36 pants that I tried on did fit me as I expected and did measure at 38 inches. The inseam, is a bit longer than some, at 33 inches. A solid, good looking, classic pair of jeans for the money, worth taking a look at. :: Damir 8/2/24
