ICON has a unique vision to recognize holes in the market where a product should exist, but doesn’t. It’s part of the reason we are here. The Regulator Vest is one of those profound products that creates its own dimension. At first glance, it’s apparent that this is no mere “Fat Brother Bob’s Cruiser” vest. The Regulator is made of premium 1.4mm leather. The updated D3O® Viper back protector is removable; doing so reveals a large back panel- perfect access for attaching a club patch, or whatever you can think up. Also featured are two cross-draw pistol pockets up front. Now you can retrieve your smokes confidently, without resorting to the infamous “chicken-wing arm” technique. The Regulator Vest is sized to rock over your jacket, or just use the side fit adjustment straps to wear it alone.

ADJUSTABLE FIT
Waist adjusters allow versatility so the vest can be worn over jacket or as a stand alone garment. Adaptability never looked so good.

 

 

These vests are made to fit over jackets when they are adjusted to their largest position. If you choose not to wear the vest over a jacket then you can make the mid-torso area smaller with the side Velcro adjustment straps. Even considering that Icon size estimates are given assuming you are wearing the vest over a jacket, we find the fit estimates to be very generous. Below, we are listing maximum and minimum mid-torso measurements (about half way between your chest and your waist). The cut of the vest will accommodate a wide range of chest sizes since the arm holes are cut very deep. You can use a tape around yourself while wearing a jacket and also without a jacket and make a size choice based upon the chart.

Our Two Cents

The Icon Regulator vest offers superior back protection in a street or cruiser style leather vest. I really like the style of this vest and it fills a gap in our line of protective apparel for leather vests. The removable back protector is quite substantial and should offer some good protection. I’ll let the gun pocket feature speak for itself. The D3O back protector is removable to make it easy to sew your club patches on the back.
