The chassis is constructed of a stretch polyester textile with Ax® Laredo overlays for ultimate riding comfort. The backhand features a floating knuckle design which houses a D3O® insert, providing additional backhand coverage and flexibility. In addition, the Ax® Laredo palm provides critical rider feedback and allows touchscreen device use.*

These gloves fit consistently with the major American designed brands we carry such as Tour Master, Joe Rocket, FirstGear, etc, which are “normal” in fit and size. And they are a bit more roomy than some European brands such as Alpinestars and REV’IT! that typically run about a half size smaller than the American “normal” fit. Our Two Cents

The Icon Punchup CE gloves are a CE rated spring/summer time glove that is perfect if you are looking for a minimally intrusive glove with excellent comfort and dexterity. Overall the gloves have a very understated design as there is only one small Icon logo on the hook and loop enclosure strap and the only available color being black.

Materials consist of a stretch polyester textile chassis with Ax Laredo overlays, this again yields to the comfort, as well as a Polyester mesh backhand that results in great airflow when riding to keep your hands cool in mild to hot weather. The majority of the Ax material can be found on the palm which is good as Ax is built with an advanced poly microfiber that matches the durability and performance of natural leather providing solid abrasion resistance while maintaining dexterity and moisture control. Additional protection can be found in the D30 foam filled floating knuckle which provides protection while prioritizing dexterity and comfort.

The Icon Punchup CE Gloves also feature a touch screen compatible thumb and index finger which in testing performed will with both Android and iPhone devices.

Overall if your primary goal is to get a glove that fits the budget and focuses on comfort, feel and dexterity while providing some protection (this glove does sacrifice protection level compared to other gloves to maintain its high level of comfort and feel) this glove is a good place to start. :: Damir 3-9-24
