We tried on both sizes of these sleeves on various people in the office and found that the size estimates are just about right. If you are between the two sizes, then choose the larger. Those who are larger than XL or who have muscled up arms probably won’t be able to use these sleeves since they don’t stretch more than a reasonable amount.

Our Two Cents

We think these armor sleeves are a pretty good idea. The D3O armor is thin, but dense and feels like it would do a pretty good job with impact. The stretch material is sturdy and should last pretty well. At the top edge of the sleeve is a band of elastic with the “grippy” material to help hold the sleeve up on your arm. At the bottom of the sleeve is a loop. I think that was intended to loop over your thumb, but in our try-ons, the sleeve wasn’t long enough to reach the thumb, so it couldn’t be used for that. Shorter people will probably be OK. Maybe it was intended to be a loop to pull the sleeve off??

Anyway, we think this is a pretty good product. It is thin enough to fit under most any un-armored gear and reasonably comfortable. :: Paul, 03-16-18
