The overall quality of these boots looks pretty good. The leather is thick feels good. The interior of the shaft of the boots is lined with a slightly padded nylon material that looks like it would wear well. These boots have a waterproof liner between the inner liner and the leather to make them waterproof. Most engineer boots like this don't include a waterproof liner, so that is a plus for this design. Nearly every biker will find some rain somewhere from time to time.

The design is simple... these are slip on boots. The buckles top and bottom are decorative only. The size of the shaft from the instep up is generous. The sole of the boots is thick, heavy and sturdy and replaceable (according to the manufacturer).

Check our photo gallery for shots with a ruler so you can see the overall height and heel height. The vertically challenged will like the thickness of the sole! Take the link below to the taller version of this same boot.

We tried on a few sizes in this boot and found the length to be true to the stated size, so our advice would be to order the size you usually wear in men’s street shoes. The width is “medium” or D width.
