We generally advise that Highway 21 gloves run about like other US based manufacturers, but this particular model runs a little snug. The gloves are natural leather, so they will stretch. The first time going on they are very tight, but that is what you want in a glove this style so that it stays on the hand. With no real closure at the cuff other than a small elastic strip, this initial snugness is the only thing keeping the gloves in place. If you are between sizes sometimes, I’d advise you choose the larger. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

The 2021 Louie gloves from Highway 21 are a no frills classic style leather glove.

These gloves are a short cuff style and are unlined. They have a classic cruiser look and feel. There is a small strip of elastic material on the back of the hand near the cuff that gives you a little stretch to get in, then it holds the gloves in place as well as it can given there is no closure to secure them. There are toolings on the leather on the back of the hand, index fingers, and thumbs. The Highway 21 shield is also tooled on the cuff. The left index finger says “clutch” and the left thumb goes through the gears “1n234” while the right index finger says “brake” and the thumb has a lightning bolt.

The gloves do not have touchscreen material, but they seem to function well on both Apple and Android devices here at the shop. The leather is relatively thin and very soft. It feels very nice on the hand making these gloves extremely comfortable. They’re so comfortable even sportbike guys will want a pair once they try them on.
