The Blockade Vest by Highway 21 is the most "tactical" styled vest of their product lineup. It is all leather with the large side Vecro adjusters that make this vest looks like a piece of military equipment. Also, note the raised pads on the shoulders which adds to the style.

The front and back of this vest is perforated so it will flow some decent air and will be comfortable in all but the hottest temps. A foam back pad is included with the vest, but can be removed is you prefer. The collar style is just a plain "no collar" design with a rolled leather trim.

Like nearly all Highway 21 jackets and vests, this one is equipped with a concealed carry pocket just inside the main zipper. On the other side, there is a patch pocket which would be perfect for a phone or other tech. On the the front, there are two zipper hand pockets. Also, this vest has a long zipper in the lining so your tailor can easily access the back to sew on your colors.

We checked the fit on these jackets with our size mannequins and we also spot checked a few different size jackets with a tape. We feel this model runs true to size. The jackets are sold in ordinary “alpha” sizes, so you can choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing.

Vests are an easier fit than a jacket because they don’t have sleeves and therefore don’t have a very specific max chest size like a jacket. We’ve put together the chart below to help you make sure you are choosing the right size. Make sure the size you choose will be big enough for both your chest and you belly.

This vest has adjusters across the torso/belly to allow you to snug the size down by about 6”, so if you are smaller through the torso than the max figure in the chart, you’ll be able to customize the fit.
