The Held Desert II glove is a great short cuff riding glove with plenty of venting for hot weather use. It also has a very nice list of protective features as well, along with premium materials. This glove is available in both men's and women's sizes.

Of Held's current selection of hot weather gloves, I think I like this one the best. Like the others, this one has large mesh panels on the back of the finger, hand, and thumb which will allow air to flow directly through. Where this glove exceeds the others is with the extensive use of Superfabric materials in key crash prone areas: knuckles fingers heel/side of the hand. Superfabric will slide more readily than just leather if you hit the pavement, which acts to reduce injury from twisting (rather than sliding). It is a super tough material too, and for those that may have had older Held gloves, it is the modern material replacement for Stingray.

The palm is made of kangaroo hide, which is thin and gives a good "feel" for the controls. But kangaroo is abrasion resistant and also resists decay from sweat and prolonged use. It is considered a premium glove material. A velcro tab at the wrist secures the gloves to your hand. And on the left index finger is a visor wiper. This is a great glove which I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Held gloves are sold in glove sizes rather than the normal “alpha” sizes you are used to in the US. For complete information on selection and fit of Held gloves please go here: Held Glove Sizing

We find Held gloves to be very consistent for fit from one model to the next and this particular glove model is no exception. Choose the size you wear in Held, or use the sizing advice above to choose

Note: We are pleased to offer Held gloves in the US again beginning late 2020. Held is a manufacturer of a full line of motorcycle apparel that is based in Germany. We’ve sold held gloves on and off for more than a decade. Held gloves are top quality and are made with VERY high quality materials. We find the gloves to offer a consistent fit which brand loyal fans enjoy. Held returns to the US market after exiting in 2019 due to distribution issues. Welcome back Held!
