These gloves are consistent with the major American based brands we carry such as FirstGear, Tour Master, Joe Rocket, etc, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Just as an FYI, you may have previous experience with European designed brands such as Alpinestars and REV’IT! which run about one half size smaller, size-for-size, than the American brands. It is not a universally true fact, but generally holds for most styles. So if a particular size in either of those brands is roomy on you, then you may be able to go down one full size in this style.

Our Two Cents

Wow, these might be the nicest Cortech gloves I’ve ever tried on! The Cortech Sector Pro ST gloves are a sport style glove with just a short length gauntlet.

These Cortech Sector Pro ST gloves feel high end on the hand thanks to their use of goat leather on the palms and the inclusion of some nice protective materials we don’t normally see in a Cortech glove. At the heel or scaphoid of the hand they have a hard outer protector overlaying a protective padding material from Knox®, their SPS system. This will work to slide on pavement versus digging in. Another amazing material upgrade is the Superfabric® on the back of the thumb, fingers, and down the side of the pinky. Superfabric® is a fantastic material for sliding at speed so Cortech as really upped their protection with this glove.

Across the palm is a textured overlay for improved grip and wear resistance. The index and middle fingers have touchscreen material that doesn’t seem to work very well on Apple devices and only marginally better on Android here at the shop. I’m not going to hold that against them though, this is a borderline track glove and those typically have no touchscreen functionality at all. Cortech has also put a weird zig-zag stitch along the ring and pinky fingers for additional grip.

There are TPR protectors on the finger knuckles and a large single piece TPU knuckle protector with a few small vents that along with some small perforations on the backhand and fingertips serve as the only airflow for this model. The large TPU piece is a floating knuckle construction for maximum comfort while you are working the controls. At the base of the fingers and near the cuff are accordion stretch panels for comfort as well.

I stop short of calling this a track glove because there is minimal wrist protection and the gauntlet is somewhere between a short cuff and a full gauntlet, but this is a fantastic sport style glove with more protection than the average glove in the category.
