Our Two Cents

The Revo ST V2 gloves (Women’s version also available) from Cortech are a sports based, short cuff, warm weather gloves that pack a ton of features and value for the money. Overall construction is a combination of goat leather and TecKnit fabric providing a solid combination of abrasion resistance and breathability.

Taking a look at safety, I am honestly impressed with what Cortech was able to include at this price point. On the top side there is a carbon fiber knuckle protector, superfabric protectors on the finger knuckles, TPR inserts on the fingers, as well as a pinky bridge to keep your pinky from ruling under or separating. Additionally there is a superfabric based overlay on the side of the pinky for additional abrasion protection.  Then looking at the inside of the hand, there is a ton of superfabric that pretty much covers the entire palm and there is even a section on the wrist. Again truly impressed with the amount of superfabric and other protection features included at the price point. Lastly there is also a grip overlay in the palm to ensure lasting durability as well as enhanced grip when holding on to the handlebars.

Moving on to comfort, there are perforations in the leather around the wrist, thumb and fingers, the TecKnit fabric is stretchy and breathable, there are good sized vents on top of the hand, as well as accordion stretch panels on the three main fingers. Additionally the fingers are pre-curved and are reverse stitched for added comfort. Lastly, the index finger and thumb are both touch screen compatible and worked well with both Android and iPhone devices.

Overall this is a massive step up in protection features and fabric choices for Cortech, I am very impressed, especially when considering the price point. I would recommend trying on a pair if you are trying to stay at this price point as they are really difficult to beat in the value for the money category. My only complaints about these gloves are that the opening is a bit tight, and it doesn't help that pull tabs are not included which may have been enough to alleviate the tight openings. Keep in mind that once the gloves are on and I am past the tight opening that they do fit true to size, but still the opening is a tad annoying. My other complaint is that the wrist closure is a bit skinny and small/flimsy looking. With a glove as robust and well protected as this one is, you would think the wrist closure would match. Technically there is nothing wrong with it, but it doesn't look like the rest of the glove and it doesn’t inspire the same level of confidence as the rest of the glove does. Still overall definitely a glove worth checking out. :: Damir 6/5/25
