We found this boot to fit true to the US size listed. The width felt like “D” or medium and I found the width in the toe area to give a bit more room than many other boots like this. My advice would be to buy the size you usually wear in a US street shoe. The laces on this boot give a lot of adjustability to the fit.

Our Two Cents

The CR-6 Drystar Riding Shoe by Alpinestars is a mid-height boot with laces and a full waterproof liner.

First of all, I wouldn’t call this a shoe… it’s definitely a boot and sturdy one at that. I’ve got the camo color on my desk and I really like the looks. The entire boot is made much thicker than ordinary boots. It feels like a sturdy hunting/hiking boot. And given the thickness of the upper, I’d suggest these for mild to colder weather use. There are a few screen vents on the toe and side of the boot, but with the waterproof liner as part of the construction, I don’t think those vents will make these boots too cold. But as bulky as these boots feel, they aren’t heavy and I’d guess that is because of the use of modern, lightweight materials.

These boots have the “normal” protective features for riding such as reinforced heel and toe areas and armor inserts on either side of the ankles. The soles of the boots are reinforced and feel quite sturdy. There is an extra rubberized protector on the left boot where your shifter will contact the boot. There is a wide Velcro-close strap at the top over the area where you tie the laces to keep those loose ends wrangled in.
