These new Tour Master Trailhead Enduro Gloves are about as light and minimal as you’ll find on the market. They are more like a light-duty mechanic’s glove than a typical riding glove.
There are some suede overlays on the palm to help prolong the life of the gloves, a hook and look wrist closure for some adjustability in the fit, and touchscreen materials on the index and thumb but otherwise you’re looking at a bare bones glove. The top of the glove is a 4-way stretch material that is very comfortable and makes fitment a breeze. The gloves look mesh but they are more of a textile thanks to the stretch of the backhand. That material does breathe and will allow some airflow but not as much as a wider weave mesh glove. There are also two perforations in each finger on the palm for a little airflow on that side. The touchscreen material worked well for us in the shop on both Android and Apple devices.
Overall, these gloves are fantastic for the rider looking for a minimalist glove that should last a riding season or two. There’s no protection, but some riders aren’t looking for the knuckle armor most street gloves offer. These gloves should work for cool to warm weather since they flow some air. :: Mike, 11-18-21
