I measured a selection of these pants and found the waist size of the pants to measure out consistently at 2” larger than the stated size. Most men’s jeans will be sized this way…. it’s called vanity sizing. We recommend you measure your waist or the waistband of your favorite jeans and use the chart below to see what size pants you need. Most people will choose the same size they wear in regular men’s jeans.

Unlike most other Klim pants, these pants don’t have the Velcro adjusters on the side, but rather they are set up with a waist bank with belt loops just like jeans. So you want to choose a size as close to what you measure from your own favorite jeans using the chart, but even though the material to make these pants is stretchy, the waist band itself is not stretchy, so don’t choose a smaller size with the idea they’ll stretch to fit.

Inseam on the short pants is about 30-31 inches depending on the waist size, regular size pants are about 33” and the inseam on the tall sizes are about 35”.

Our Two Cents

The Klim Marrakesh Pants are now in their second generation and like the Marrakesh jacket fall in to the touring/adventure category (granted we did mention that the Marrakesh Jacket could really serve as an all purpose, any riding style jacket based off of its looks and color you choose, but the pants do give more of an adventure vibe and look compared to the jacket). The Marrakesh Pants, like the Marrakesh jacket, are made primarily from 1000D Karbonite™ Micromesh Cordura® fabric, which has fantastic breathability while also having fantastic abrasion resistance. This material is also woven in a way that allows for great stretch making the Marrakesh Pants really comfortable both on and off the bike. The pants also feature DWR treatment that helps them shed water drops making them still comfortable in wet weather and for additional protection the pants do feature 500D Cordura® knees, seat, cargo pockets, cuffs with an additional Inner knee panel made of 100% genuine Dupont™ Kevlar® flame resistant material. The Marrakesh pants feature reflection from the 3M™ Scotchlite™ Carbon Black Reflective Material and also provide impact protection with the included D3O® IP Ghost Level 1 vented adjustable knee armor and D3O® IP Ghost Level 1 vented hip armor. This armor is super thin and flexible marking it very comfortable. Speaking of comfort, the Marrakesh pants are again very breathable and stretchy making them one of the most comfortable riding pants we have tried on. Additional comfort points include a moisture-wicking antimicrobial and breathable mesh liner, belt loops and convenient storage options with the inclusion of 2 thigh cargo pockets, 2 jean style hand pockets and a thigh knife pocket. Overall the Marrakesh pants walk an interesting line between partially looking like jeans, adventure pants, and cargo style pants all at the same time while providing comfort and breathability. Klim states that the Marrakesh pants may be the most comfortable motorcycle pant you will ever wear and that honestly doesn’t seem like a stretch. If you are looking for a really comfortable yet protective pair of riding pants I do recommend that you give the Klim Marrakesh Pants a try. :: Damir 3/23/24
