The Held Touch glove was named for the touchscreen materials on the index finger and thumb. When this glove debuted back around 2015, it was new territory for Held as they had never offered this connected fingertip before.
Like nearly every other Held glove product, this one is well built and will make a great choice for touring and street riders of all kinds. This glove has a black kangaroo palm with small perforations in the leather so it will flow some air and wick moisture very well. And the glove has some pretty substantial protection features as well: SuperFabric® in the palm and on the side of the hand, which is a super strong, “slider” type material. And on the back of the hand is a molded piece of armor by SAS-TEC. This knuckle protector is somewhat flexible, but more firm than the material from SAS-TEC which is used in jackets and pants. It feels like it would really be effective as armor, but at the same time, it is flexible and comfortable to wear.
Other little things to like… the gloves have some expansion panels on the backs of the fingers and behind the knuckle armor to help with flexibility (and they look cool too). And I like the positive-close Velcro strap on the wrist so you know the gloves won’t fly off in an accident. This closure also features a TPU end that is easy to find and manipulate while wearing the gloves.
I’ve included a close-up photo of the touchpad included on the index finger and thumb. It works on the pad of the finger as well as the tip so it works pretty easily and well on both Android and iPhone devices here in the shop.
Overall a very competent and sturdy glove… and one that you can use with your gadget! :: Mike, 12-15-21
