REV'IT! Haste H2O Jacket
Brand new for Spring 2025 is the Haste h2O jacket from REV’IT!, this jacket is ofcourse waterproof with H2O in its name, and is considered a casual and sport sort of mix. Its really an interesting jacket as it a cross between something sporty from REV’IT!, like their Control H2O jacket and is mixed with something like their casual riding hoodies like the parabolica for example, but then to make it one step cooler, it is also a part of REV’IT!’s Ninety-Five Capsule collection. Now I want to say two things about REV’iTS 95 collection, first, that is just looks cool, I am a big fan of the vintage designs, the colors chosen across the entire 95 collection, the cool logos, everything about it is just cool, and two, that as a person born in 1987, it hurts my heart that 1995 is considered classic or vintage…but for the sake of this blog and above video, ill let that one go.
Lets talk colors, choices are the Black-Red, which also features quite a bit of this off white almost light gray color, and Black blue which also features some white in the logos and then the dark grey as well.
Size wise options are available from size small to 3xl and I would say that is a sporty cut, its not super loose and casual like a hoodie, but definitely not as aggressive as REV’IT!’s race jackets. Typically in REV”IT! I wear a size XL and in the Haste H2O Jacket I fit into a XL quite nicely. So I would say get your normal REV”IT! Size and you will find a good fit. For reference I am six foot about 215 pounds.
Looking at the jacket overall its a good combination of style and protection. Overall construction is a combination of ripstop 600d, polyester stretch and a softshell 3L. This jacket as mentioned earlier is waterproof, but not because of a removable waterproof liner, but rather because of the built in hydratex layer that is a part of the outer shell. Overall this jacket earns a CE AA rating, so again, great style and great protection.
Ok lets jump right into the details here and go exactly where our eyes want to go and that is the logos on the chest. The logos look printed on or perhaps its a very thin pressed on vinyl material, either way they look great and fit that 95 theme. And then on the opposite side you do have this splash of color with a waterproof pocket right behind it. Its a decent sized chest pocket, for reference I wear a size large glove, here is how my hand fits.
Moving on from there lets talk about the collar and main zipper, the collar is a simple front single button closure, ill dive in to more collar details later in the video and the main zipper is a good size, quality zipper with an easy to grab pull tab even with gloves on. The zipper itself isnt waterproof, but REV”IT! Gets around this by putting a secondary offset zipper behind it with this flap and that keeps the jacket from letting water in. At the very bottom of the zipper there is this single button closure and that should help protect your tank from scratches.
Looking to the left and right there are two large hand warmer pockets, both a good size with zipper closures, again here are my hands in the pockets for reference. Thats pretty much it for the font, pretty straight forward.
Lets move on to the sides, you do get waist adjusters here to help you control the fit. And then speaking of fit you do also get velcro adjustment tabs on the wrists as well. The rest of the sleeves are fairly minimal with the expectation of this extra added layer of protection on the elbows, reflective materials here on the biceps as well as the 3D REV”IT! Logo just under the shoulder.
Lets make our way to the back, on the back the awesome 95 theme continues with more vinyl like material branding, the colors looks great, the designs look great, and I especially love this large red stripe here with the REV’IT! Logo, really eye-catching and great looking. What I do consider a miss here however is the logos look like they are made from a reflective material, the small shimmer in the light and the gray color definitely look the part, but unfortunately they are not actually reflective so what could have been a great style and great night time visibility ends up being just style. But still looks good none the less. Fortunately the back does get some reflective with a stripe up here and this stripe is actually a grab bar or hook bar depending on how you want to use it.
The back again is fairly simple and straight forward minus the logos until we make our way to the hood. Again, I mentioned earlier that this jacket has a sport jacket and hoodie fusion thing going on and that is where this hood comes in. Its a regular size hood and it is removable. I do want to point out that since it is removable that it doesnt have a hood clip button on the back of the jacket, other hoodies from REV”IT! Have that, this keeps the hood pinned against your back and from flapping around or catching wind while you are riding. Again this one doesnt have that, but is fully removable so that may not be a problem.
Lets look at the inside of the neck here, this is how the hood removes, just a simple series of buttons and the hood comes out. I do like the fun color design on the inside of the hood. Ok so pro and con here, I like that the hood is removable, but I wish that this collar liner clipped in to the collar here to hide these buttons when the hood is removed, instead they just sort of hang out there, and this inner collar since it isnt pinned down tends to move around or fold in on itself leaving a bit of a messy look. Ill be honest when the collar is lined up correctly it is quite comfortable so no issues there, but a few times I did have to stop and adjust my collar as the inside one wasnt quite lined up correctly, so again, I would love to see this collar clip in to where the hood was to make it line up and stay in palace.
Alright well since we are already on the inside, lets take a look at the rest. On the inside of the jacket you do get a fully removable thermal liner to keep you warmer on those colder days, it is a full length sleeve liner, and the in and out process is quite easy with simple buttons here, on the other side and a few more holding the sleeves in place. On the inside of the liner on the top here the graphic or color theme continues, on the right hand side you have a pocket pass through and then on the left hand side you have a zippered pocket about the size of my hand. Main thing to note here is that the thermal liner is not a finished piece, so its not meant to be worn on its own, but rather only inside the jacket.
Ok lets move the thermal liner out of the way and jump into the inside of the main shell. Right off the bat you will notice that there is a nice built in mesh liner to add comfort and to separate the hydratex material from your skin, and then over here on the right hand side the fun graphics continue on this pocket here. Its a decent sized pocket, can fit my hand, and it has a single button closure. Interestingly enough there are no other pockets on the inside.
A few other things to note that I found interesting is the lack of pockets for optional chest protection, typically sport based REV”IT! Jackets have them, and there is only a short connection zipper where again most of their sport jackets have both a short and long zipper. I will point out that you do get jeans loop hooks, as well as a pocket for an optional back protector. Speaking of protectors you do get included armor for both shoulders and elbows, and that is going to be REV”IT!’s SEESMART CE LEVEL 1 armor.
Overall the Haste h20 jacket from REV’IT! Looks really cool, fits very comfortably, and offers solid protection with its CE double A rating. At the time of this recording it retails for $339.99. I would say its definitely a jacket worth checking out if you are looking for something with a casual sport style, a vintage 90’s vibe and a comfortable, regular fit.
