Sizing Information
Use the chart below to select a size based on your waist and inseam. The actual measurements of the jeans (shown here) are very similar to the sizes marked on them except we find the inseams start at 32” on the 30” waist and gain an inch with each waist size. So the larger the waist, the longer the inseam measurement.
Size | Waist Measurement | Inseam Length |
30 | 30 | 32 |
32 | 32 | 33 |
34 | 34 | 34 |
36 | 36 | 35 |
38 | 38 | 35.5 |
40 | 40 | 36 |
Our Two Cents
The Radon pants from Alpinestars are a pair of single layer riding jeans that are designed to look like regular jeans while off the bike. Overall construction is primarily cotton with a small percentage of elastane to aid in stretch. Abrasion resistant materials are found in the impact zone around the knees where Nucleon Flex Plus armor is included, and pockets are included for the hip armor that needs to be purchased separately. Overall it looks like protection and abrasion resistance is pretty minimal in these jeans as we can not see any signs of materials such as Cordura, Kevlar or others that are typically interwoven in riding jeans to provide abrasion resistance, and with only a polyester liner in the knees and not in the seat we have our concerns. Overall at the price point there are better protection options available but some will chose these pants for the look and style.
