For 2021 is the NORU Kiryu Pant
which is a vented mesh pant for use in hot weather. The pants include
removable knee armor and hip armor is optional (see the links below to
order).
Pair the Kiryu pant with NORU full mesh
jackets to be comfortable in the hot summer months. Nearly the entire
front of the pant and part of the back is made of fully vented mesh
material that will flow air directly through to your body. The knee,
seat, and hip areas are covered in solid textile material to improve the
abrasion resistance and to work well with the armor. You can wear
these pants with any mesh jacket you may own, but they’ll zip directly
to NORU jacket models to make a suit. I
recently reviewed the Kuki and Kaze jackets which both have a compatible
zipper connection (see links below).
Molded rubber knee armor units are included. The armor isn’t a
brand name, but it is just like “standard” armor we’ve seen in many
brands over the last several years. It feels good to me and I’m sure it
is functional. NORU gives you pockets for the installation of hip armor too. Just take the link below to order.
Some basic features to note: The pants have stretch material over
the knees and below the waist in back to make them fit better when you
are in the saddle. There are nighttime reflective strip over the knees
in front and around the leg end in back. There is a zipper at the leg
end to help you get your foot through the pants. You get two front
zippered hand pockets in front. :: Paul, 04-05-21
