Our Two Cents
The Tour Master Switchback glove is new for 2021. It is part of their “Horizon Line” which is aimed at adventure riders. The glove is mostly mesh on the back of the hand and the palm is perforated goatskin. This glove is available in both men’s and women’s sizes, so take the link below for the other gender.
You’ll love the breezy construction of this glove in hot weather. Nearly every surface is highly breathable. But being a feather-light glove means there isn’t a lot of protection for street riders. But to be fair, this glove is aimed more for adventure and dirt which traditionally don’t have as much hard armor. There are some appliques of rubber protectors on the back of the hand, but don’t expect a lot of impact protection from these… they’re pretty thin. The glove is secured to your hand with a sturdy Velcro tab which is an important safety feature. The goat leather used in the palm is super comfortable and won’t require any break-in, but they’re thin so don’t expect long term wear out of them. :: Paul, 05-28-21
