You could probably guess by the name that the Mojave Pro gloves are for hot weather use. Klim bills these as their most durable vented off road gloves, and we agree. We often have street or dual sport riders that purchase these gloves for their comfort and limited protection.
The glove is made of a combination of perforated goat leather which makes up the palm side and a portion of the backhand with mesh materials that make up the remainder of the back of the hand. The knuckles of this glove are covered in pads of 3mm XRD® memory foam to provide a bit of impact protection with TPU overlays that add a bit more protection with a cool honeycomb look. The memory foam is very soft and pliable, so these gloves are super comfortable with no break-in required.
The tips of the index and thumb have touchscreen material that seems to work well on both Apple and Android devices here at the shop. Another great update for 2023 is the addition of a small visor wiper on the left index finger. The closure at the wrist is a simple Velcro strap. Being such an “unstructured” glove without hard plastic parts and such, these gloves will fold up and tuck away in your pocket very easily while still providing a bit of protection. :: Mike, 04-27-23
