Sizing Information

These gloves are consistent with the major brands we carry, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

If you sometimes find yourself between two sizes in gloves, then I’d advise you to choose the larger. This style runs just a tad smaller than other Joe Rocket styles we sell.

Our Two Cents

The Joe Rocket Highside glove is their most robust short cuff sport glove. It has significant armor protection features and an all-leather shell.

For the money, I think this glove is pretty darn nice. The shell is almost all leather (except for the stretch panels between the fingers). The knuckle protector is the usual hard plastic with a foam backing which is very robust. Its the floating type too, meaning it isn’t attached to the glove on the back side so when you make a fist it doesn’t bind up over your knuckles… but rather it “floats” (have a look at the side shot in our photo gallery). On the palm side there is a double layer in the palm with some thin dense padding in between and on the cuff over the outside wrist bone is a hard plastic impact protector. There are also small rubber protectors on the backs of the fingers (mostly for show I think).

The gloves are fully lined with nylon and are comfortable to wear. The wrist closes with a simple Velcro strap at the wrist. I think this glove is a very good value for the money… especially if you don’t want to spend over $100 to get a glove from a more expensive brand. :: Paul, 09-28-18
