Our Two Cents

The Bully Leather 2.0 Glove from Cortech is a cruiser style glove that could also be considered a vintage, cafe racer or even a Harley style glove. Like other Cortech gloves at this price point there is a lot to like for the money, but after checking out the Sonic-Flo gloves from Cortech and commenting on how perfectly they fit I was a bit disappointed in the Bully 2.0’s. To me they felt a bit uncomfortable, bulky and had the issue of some fingers being too long while others where perfectly fitting, also the main opening and the part that sits around your writs was a bit tight for me to get my hand in and out of and could definitely have benefited from more stretch or some other type of adjustability. It was honestly a bit strange for it to be that tight since the gloves do feature a hook and loop wrist closure that allows you to adjust the fit of the gloves. Overall construction is primarily ventilated goat leather as well as some non-ventilated goat leather.

Lets talk about some highlights, not a ton of cruiser style gloves feature TPU hard sliders, but these do and I am a fan of that as hard sliders help encourage sliding and thus help reduce hand and wrist injuries. Also there is a ton of perforation on both the inside and outside of the glove as well as accordion stretch panels on every single finger including the pinky and thumb. Speaking of the thumb, you do get an additional layer of non ventilated goat leather on both the palm and thumb but unfortunately there isn’t any additional layers on the side of the hand and pinky outside of the area around the TPU hard slider. Additional features include pre-curved construction to prevent bunching and to reduce rider fatigue, as well as double reinforced impact seams for added protection. Additionally the Bully Leather 2.0 Gloves from Cortech also feature a Tricot polyester lining for moisture-wicking comfort as well as AX® Connect at the fore finger and thumb for touchscreen compatibility, which performed well with both Android and iPhone devices.

There is definitely a lot to like about these gloves at this price point. My only real complaint here is that like many other USA based brands (only motorcycle products sold in European markets are required to do CE testing) , Cortech doesn’t list if these gloves are CE rated or not, typically the CE rating is a “bragging” point if you will, so when a company doesn’t list it, it typically means the product isn’t CE rated. Now this could mean that the product, in this case these gloves, isn’t able to pass a CE certification, or it could simply mean that the manufacturer never had it tested. For a protection first rider like myself, that is a drawback. :: Damir 5/16/24
