Our Two Cents

The Super-Tour Waterproof Adventure gloves from Tourmaster are a full gauntlet glove designed for adventure riding in multiple seasons. Coming in sizes from small to 3XL, the Souper-Tour WP ADV gloves are available in three color choices, Black, Black/Dark Grey, and Dark Grey/Light Grey (though they do feature red on them, the red isn’t mentioned in the name of the color). Overall construction is a combination of genuine goat leather on the backhand, palm and in different overlays, 3M scotchlite reflective accents, cordura 500 denier stretch ripstop with DWR coating on top of the hands and Superfabric™ overlays on the knuckle, fingers and heel. On the inside you do get a Aqua-barrier® membrane that is both breathable and waterproof to make sure your hands stay dry and comfortable.

From a comfort and convenience standpoint the index finger and thumb are touch screen compatible, in our testing the gloves worked ok with both Android and iPhone devices (most winter and waterproof style gloves work just ok). To further aid in comfort there are accordion panels across the fingers and the backhand, and there is a silicon grip printed Tourmaster logo on the palm (I like that Tourmaster started doing this, I think it looks good and actually helps with grip too). Lastly you do get genuine leather fourchettes with PK seamed stitched fingers as well as a wiper blade on the outside of the pinky area. The glove closure is a dial hook and loop that is fully adjustable at the mid wrist and at the end of the wrist.

Looking at protection, included are TPR finger accents, a 3D molded knuckle protector as well as Superfabric™ on the fingers, over the knuckle protector, on the thumb as well as on the palm on both sides of the palm (there is also additional padding on the palm under the Superfabric™). These gloves are not CE certified, but I am fairly confident that that is because Tourmaster didn’t submit them for certification, keep in mind that CE is a European requirement and Tourmaster is mostly sold in the states, rather than because the glove couldn’t pass the test. Based off materials and quality or build/features I would assume that it would pass as a 1KP glove.

Overall there are alot of features and quality materials included for the at the time of this review $59.99 price. The Super-Tour Waterproof Adventure gloves really do punch above their price point. Overall they feel good on my hands, are comfortable, feel very warm and have good dexterity considering that they are more of a cold weather, waterproof glove. Overall I am impressed. I think Tourmaster has a winner on their hands with these. Quick note on sizing, I normally wear a size large in most European gloves, usually European gloves are cut smaller than American brands like Tourmaster, but with that said, these gloves seem to run a bit more European like in sizing as a size large fits me like it normally does with European brands. Again overall I am impressed with these gloves, especially for the money. If you are looking for a waterproof adventure glove at a fair price, these are definitely worth checking out. :: Damir 12/13/24
