D3O’s impact sheet protection sits behind the solid knuckle protector and scaphoid impact point. The upper is a unique combination of premium goat leather, ripstop textile and microfiber. Digital touch points allow use of phones and sat-nav devices.

Our Two Cents
The REXX ALL SEASON HYDRO D3O® GLOVE from Merlin is another pair of gloves in their Explorer Collection and is considered an all season adventure or touring glove. The Rexx is a full gauntlet style glove covering well above the wrist and features a double hook and loop closure/adjuster at the mid and high wrist allowing for a good amount of fit adjustability. Overall construction features goat leather at the palm and knuckle, leather trim pipe, Micro-ripstop Stretch Nylon Panels, Microfibre Grip Panels On Palm and Cuff Strap, a Hipora® Waterproof and Breathable Membrane, and Microfleece 145g, Plus 6oz Wadding at the back of the hand. Overall the materials feel comfortable and of good quality clearly justifying the price range of the REXX gloves.
Looking at protection there is a good amount to like, with a TPR knuckle mould overlay, sonic finger impact protectors, D3O® Sheet Protection under the knuckles and D3O® Foam at the palm, the REXX gloves earn a CE Level 1 KP rating. Other notable features include articulated finger joints, an extra overlay of leather all along the pinky side of the hand, accordion stretch panels on the three larger fingers, and touchscreen compatible finger tips on both the index finger and thumb that in testing performed better than most adventure/waterproof gloves performing well with both Android and iPhone devices.
There is honestly a lot to like about the REXX gloves from Merlin, I would say this is one of the best examples of value for the money from Merlin as for the $150 price point you get a waterproof glove with a really good amount of protection, coverage and adjustability as well as a good mixture of high quality materials. Additionally for a waterproof adventure/touring glove they are really comfortable, fit right to size and seem less bulky than a lot of other gloves in the waterproof adventure/touring category.
