The Nitric 3 H2O are the ideal rain over-pants made with a premium-quality outer shell. They will keep you and your leather, textile or denim pants dry and comfortable. These pants have a hydratex|Lite outer shell offering 100% waterproofing, as well as breathability. The easy-entrance zippers at the legs ensure an easy and quick fit. For the Nitric 3 H2O rain pants, we used a synthetic material that is not only soft to the touch, but doesn’t make a lot of noise when you’re walking around; something that other rain pants don’t necessarily offer.

The reflective panels provide extra visibility in low light or poor riding conditions, while the adjustment tabs at ankles and waist ensure the pants will always fit no matter what you choose to wear underneath. The mesh inner liner will make sure the pants won’t stick to the gear you are wearing under it. When the weather clears up they are very easy to take off and pack up tightly into a compact bag that is supplied with the pants.

The waist of these pants is simple elastic with a wide range. Below is a chart we put together that shows the range of stretch from “lightly stretched” to “fully stretched”. The middle of each range seems to correspond to what you would expect for normal men’s clothing sizes. I’d advise you to choose the size that puts you squarely in the middle of the range (which most probably is the same size you wear in men’s clothing).

Our Two Cents

the Nitric 3 H2O rain pants are a new line from REV’IT!, but they share features with the earlier Sphinx H2O rain pants.

The Nitric 3 H2O rain pants were named to line up with the matching jacket that REV’IT! offers. I guess they decided to streamline the top tier names in their rain gear line so customers could easily identify the ones with the most options.

The Nitric 3 features a full length zipper on the left leg and a 3/4 length zipper on the right leg. These should allow the pants to open up enough to get them on over your other gear and boots if you have to suit up in the middle of a downpour. The side entry has two purposes, one is the ease of entry as noted, and the second is that there is not seam in the crotch to catch water and potentially pool up to leak through. With the seams down the sides and storm flaps covering them, you should be watertight! There is also some adjustability at the cuff as well. This rain pant will pack down into the included travel bag with ease and once packed it is a cylinder that measures 9 inches long and 18 inches in circumference.

What sets the Nitric 3 H2O rain pants apart from the lower Acid 3 H2O model are the mesh lining and entry zippers. The Acid 3 H2O simply slip on with a stretch waist and some adjustability at the cuff. :: Mike, 12-16-21
