Our Two Cents

The Ballistic Ultra is an update to the older Ballistic 7 gloves by Joe Rocket. These gloves are a lightly insulated glove with a waterproof liner. They are lightweight a comfortable. And this new version has conductive material on the index finger so you can operate your tech without having to take off your gloves.

I’d characterize the protection capabilities of this glove as “light duty”. They have a decent protector over the knuckles, but otherwise, they are just fabric with some minor reinforcement overlays in the palm and the heel of the hand. If you need something quick and comfortable, and for a light duty cycle, these will work great, but if you rely on your waterproof/winter gloves for daily use, then you need to make a bigger investment to get the kind of wear you’ll need. :: Paul, 10-30-17
