Sizing Information
These gloves are consistent with the major American based brands we carry such as FirstGear, Tour Master, Joe Rocket, etc, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Just as an FYI, you may have previous experience with European designed brands such as Alpinestars and REV’IT! which run about one half size smaller, size-for-size, than the American brands. It is not a universally true fact, but generally holds for most styles. So if a particular size in either of those brands is roomy on you, then you may be able to go down one full size in this style.
Our Two Cents
The new Brodie glove by Cortech is part of a new line of cruiser style gear for 2019. These are a fabric frame with a suede palm.
The black and white color glove in this group reminds me of the Vanson “bones” jacket/pants/gloves if anybody remembers those. That color has sort of a Halloween vibe I think. The contrast color on the back of the hand is done with leather. The main material on the back side is a stretch fabric that will breathe easy. The palm side of this glove is a suede-like material that should wear pretty well. The cuff is closed with a small tab of Velcro (the non-snagging type) and the fabric band at the cuff is a neoprene.
These gloves should be quite comfortable with no surprises fit-wise. Since they are largely fabric, they’ll be good for mild to hot weather, but they won’t do you much good in cold and/or wet weather. There are no “protective” features here. The overall quality level is very nice for such a low priced glove. :: Paul, 09-16-19
Cortech says: Warning: “The Brodie” is not for everyone. But for those who remember a time where plywood and cinder blocks were used to make jumps, and cards in the spokes were how you made a motorcycle out of your bicycle, then slide into “The Brodie”, close your eyes, and enjoy!
