At this price, the Rio jacket is a great hot weather jacket choice. This jacket design offers sharp styling in a full mesh sport jacket. The entire shell of this jacket is made from a loose weave nylon which is abrasion resistant, but also allows the wind to blow right through, so it’s ideal for hot weather riding. Some folks like to buy the optional Dry Tech liner (see below) which can be worn under the jacket to block the wind. This is a handy thing for cool mornings or high mountain passes where the full-mesh jacket would become chilly. For crash protection the jacket includes perforated dual density armor pieces (elbows, shoulders and back). The jacket has a short rear zipper for attachment to pants… I’d suggest Joe Rocket’s Phoenix pants.
