Cortech CPX Cargo Pants - These have been a staple in my riding gear closet for years. Weight is heavy and warm, but will still handle warmer temps once moving. The fit is a bit baggy, but this works out for me as I tend to use them as overpants for commuting more than anything else. When worn alone, the cargo pockets are large enough to hold the zip-off legs, so you'll have shorts when you're off the bike for a while. I've never really tested the 'water-resistant' claim, but I have my doubts that they'd hold up to anything more than a misting. Keep in mind that there is so protective padding in these, so impact protection is nill. One of the cargo pockets had the stitching blow out shortly after I got them, but a few bucks at a seamstress and they've been holding up fine for thousands of miles and regular use.
