These knee and shin guards are pretty solid. They came at a great price, arrived quickly at my house, and fit my legs well. They are not bulky at all, and fit great under my jeans and/or other pants I wear while riding. I like having the extra protection on the days I choose not to wear my padded riding pants, and I plan on wearing them under my workout pants when I make the short ride from my house to the gym. I am 5'5 and medium-built, and these fit fine. The adjustable velcro straps are very helpful. Don't be surprised by the fact that the knee shields don't strap to your knee cap - your pants will hold them in place once you put them on. Nice!
