This jacket is so perfect for the summer. I purchased it with trepidation, as my other mesh jacket I own by Alpine Stars (purchased elsewhere) was not at all breathable, so I was afraid of making another mistake. However, I was very happy to get this jacket, and to discover how incredibly aerated and porous it is. I took out the lining, as it is fairly warm here in the Northern California summers, and loved the fit of the jacket. It sits comfortably, is snug enough to prevent the armor from moving around but easily accommodates a sweater for layering in the chilly mornings, and looks VERY nice. I like the gray color of my jacket - it does not heat up in the sun, and the black trim of the jacket adds an edge. When I put the jacket to the test, wearing it outside in the burning sun, I was exhilarated to find out how well ventilated the jacket is. All I have to do is cruise down the street and I feel air moving inside the sleeves and chest of the jacket. I have completed lengthy rides in 75-80 degree heat and sunshine and not broken a sweat. This jacket looks great, feels great, and breathes great. Kudos again to the seamless customer service - a medium, which I normally wear, fit too large and I had absolutely no problem exchanging for a small. Love it!!
