Sizing Information
We measured a selection of these pants and put together the chart below to help you choose a size. Measure your waist where your jeans usually ride. Choose a size so that your waist measurement falls within the range listed in the chart. The large end of the range on the waist is how they fit with the side adjusters fully open, and then you can snug down the waist band by about 2”.
The inseams listed are the actual measured inseam. The pant leg on this style is pretty tapered and so they pants will work best falling right to the top of your foot. The inseams listed are a little shorter than you might expect, but consider how that pant leg will fall on your leg. So if you usually wear a 32” in jeans, then a 31” in this pant will work fine. When in doubt, choose the longer inseam.

Our Two Cents
The New Drake Air pant is one of their most popular pants for every day riding for spring summer and fall. This is a full textile pant that has large vents on the thighs to flow some air in really hot weather.
The material used in these pants is a classic textile material of medium weight. The material has just a bit of stretch built into them and even though the pants are cut trim, the move with you easily. The waist is adjustable with side straps (see the sizing advice for actual size rages). The pant ends are tapered to fit snugly over boots or riding shoes. There is a zipper at the pant leg used to slip them on, and then you run the zipper to the ankle to snug them down around your leg (or boot top).
On the thigh of this pant, there is a rectangle shaped panel with a zipper on one side and a Velcro close along the bottom. To get the venting, just unzip and un-velcro and use the button hole to secure the flap in the open position. With the vent open, the air will flow through to your body.
This pant has some really nice armor. Check the photos of the knee armor… it has a nice shape and is a firm plastic over foam which is really comfortable to wear. The armor extends a long way down the shin. There are pads built into the hips to provide a little cushioning in that area too.
The pocket selection is pretty standard… two front hand pockets and one rear billfold pocket. The pants have an all-around jacket connection zipper in case you want to connect to a Dainese jacket (that has a connection zipper also).
I think these are great pants that fit well and looks great. And the armor package is really comfortable. I recommend them! :: Paul, 08-29-18
