I was looking specifically for saddle bags that could work on a crotch rocket (Honda VFR), and could withstand the heat of the under tail exhaust. Well, the Nelson Rigg bags with their special high-temp pads added on did the job. Great product, but do keep in mind these pads still only handle up to 300 degrees. With the factory exhaust which had somewhat of a factory heat shield, these worked great. However, I would be careful if you have aftermarket or stainless steel pipes without a cover of sorts...as these do exceed that 300 degree mark. Motorcyclegear.com had the best prices on them compared to anywhere else online, and with the free shipping they arrived in ~7 days.
